Half circle key characteristics

A semicircular key is a type of key, with a flat upper surface and a semicircular curved lower surface, with parallel sides, commonly known as a crescent key.
Working surface
The working surface of the half circle key has two sides, which transmit torque through the sides. Similar to flat keys, it has good alignment.
Adapt to tilting
The key can swing around the center of curvature of the groove bottom in the shaft groove, thus automatically adapting to the inclination of the hub keyway bottom.

shortcoming
The deep keyway on the shaft weakens the strength of the shaft, and is generally only used in areas with less stress
